Healing of the Nations

THE GOOD NEWS IS WAY BETTER THAN WE CAN IMAGINE!

As followers of Jesus, we are ambassadors given the mission to go and make disciples of all nations. We hold that this commission mirrors the assignment given to Adam and Eve in Eden: to be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth. The knowledge of God's glory will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.
This will occur through His image bearers, filled with His glory, spreading the knowledge of Him everywhere.
This is the garden mission!

“The time is fulfilled, and God’s Kingdom is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.”

At the precise moment determined by the Father, Jesus entered the world of Israel, and by extension, all of ours. With His arrival, He ushered in His kingdom. His call was for humanity to change the way we think and believe the Good News that He is King. He came to bring us back to the Father and to restore humanity back to our rightful place as sons and daughters.

For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!”

Christ fulfilled it all. We are no longer under the old law, which was a tutor to bring us to Christ. As the faithful Son, Christ fulfilled everything Adam and Israel could not. He ushered us all into the new covenant of grace and truth, and brought all of humanity into the one plan of God. There is no longer a distinction between races, but all are one in Christ. We proclaim this good news of true freedom in Christ. In Him we are the new humanity and have the honor of proclaiming His kingdom of peace everywhere. Of the increase of His government and of peace there will be no end.

And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!”

The Word made flesh, the Incarnate Son, came to undo the fall of creation and restore us back to the Father. He was the last Adam and is the firstborn of the new creation. Therefore, He is called the First and Last, the Alpha and Omega. His new covenant is for all humanity and He is in the process of making all things new. We are co-laborers with Him to help bring creation back to the Garden, where the Tree of Life brings healing to the nations. This is incredibly good news!

The nations will walk in its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it. Its gates will never be shut...

Christ is the gate by which humanity can enter into eternal life. He is the only Way. When we come to Christ we enter the New Jerusalem and begin walking in His life. His life is the light of men and it's this Light that shines in the darkness and the darkness cannot overcome it. The gates to the Garden are always open so that everyone has access to the Father through Him.

...the Tree of Life, and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Jesus is the Tree of Life, the source of healing for the nations. We are called to represent (re-present) Him in the earth. When people come to the Tree of Life and enter into Him healing flows. We all have the honor and responsibility to bring others to the Tree of Life so that the nations can be healed.

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let anyone who hears say, “Come!” Let the thirsty come; let anyone who wants the water of life take it freely.

Following His ascension, Christ sent the Spirit of God to the earth to collaborate with and guide the ekklesia in furthering the expansion of God's kingdom. Together, the Spirit and the bride invite those outside of the Garden City to come. The Good News is veiled to those who are perishing, blinded from seeing the light of Christ’s glory. Therefore, we lovingly call out to those outside the gates, inviting them to come and drink freely from the Living Water.

The first Adam turned the garden into a graveyard. The last Adam was put in a graveyard and turned it into a garden. He reversed the curse and brought us back into relationship with our Father!
